Citrine

Citrine is a form of quartz, colored with iron. The name citrine is derived from the French "citron," meaning lemon, and citrine ranges from a buttery yellow to a deep amber orange. The more iron present in a citrine, the darker the color will be. Like many gemstones, dark citrine is worth more than paler yellow, even if the lighter stone is completely flawless. Natural citrine is a pale yellow to orange, and is much lighter than the heat-treated material, which is dark orange-brown to reddish-brown. Most citrine on the market today is actually heat-treated amethyst because natural citrine is found only in large quartz deposits in small amounts. All heat-treated material has a red tint, whereas the natural specimens do not. Perhaps because of its scarcity, there is little mention of Citrine used as a gemstone prior to the first century B.C.. The Romans were thought to be the first to wear the yellow quartz, crafting it into cabochon, or highly polished but unfaceted cuts of stone set into jewelry. Citrine became more popular during the Romantic Period, when artisans often favored these warm colored gems to enhance gold jewelry. There are reports of citrine being worn as far back as the start of the Hellenistic period of ancient Greece, nearly two and a half millennia ago.
Excessively sensitive and vulnerable people are advised to carry Citrine . Being a powerful conductor of positive solar energy, it promotes normalization of family, business and friendly relations. Citrine  has an ability to fill its owner with warmth and kindness. Its energy is similar to the solar one as it carries warmth and a life energy. Glowing citrine is often mistaken for topaz, yellow sapphire or yellow diamond. Its clear yellow color is said to bring joy, abundance, and protection from negativity, and the gem was prized. It is also known as a stone of the shopkeepers - placing citrine in a shop's cash register is said to increase shop revenue. In ancient times, Citrine was carried as a protection against snake venom and evil thoughts. Citrine is believed to help the heart, kidney, digestive tract, liver and muscles. It promotes creativity, helps personal clarity and eliminates self-destructive tendencies.
